Class Details

Q1: What do we offer?

A1:    A five hour course on Pano quilting (edge to edge) with the Gammill Statler Sticher Long Arm machine. This class is broken up into two sessions:

     The first session is a hands-on 3 hour class room course in which you'll learn about the physical make-up of the machine; personally experience mounting your test quilt, and actually sewing your first pano.

      The second session is 2 hours long and is sub-divided into two blocks. The first of which is an instructor guided review of session #1. The second block is your certification test. To become certified you're expected to mount and sew the pano of your choice with minimal intervention. Don't worry though, an instructor is always available.

Q2:    What materials are provided?

A2:    All classroom materials are provided. These supplies include:
      a) Muslin backing and top for both sessions
      b) Cotton Batting (for both projects)
      c) Pins
      d) Fifteen page instruction brief
      e) Quilt checklists

Q3:    What does the class cost?

A3:    The 5 hour class with supplies is $70 per person.

Q4:     What is the class schedule?

A4:     a) Session #1 training is held on Sat from 9AM-Noon or 1 PM-4 PM.  

             b) Session #2 'certification' is held during the week at a mutually convenient time.



Q5:   What are the machine rental rates?

A5:   The machine rents for $25 per hour

Q6:   When can I rent the machine?

A7:   The machine is rented in increments of one hour blocks. Our schedule is very flexible so call (540-229-6849) or email us to book your appointment.
